STAFF SERGEANT CALLUM MCGREGOR PROMOTED TO GUNNERY SERGEANT

Gunnery Sergeant Callum McGregor was promoted during week 16 of Operation Able Sentry, a deployment that has taken the 2/8 Marines to Afghanistan on a mission to restore stability and peace in the region whilst maintaining a good living condition for all.

Gunnery Sergeant McGregor was last promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant on 21 May 2022 by his former Platoon Commander, Second Lieutenant Mihail Liric for his continued efforts in leadership whilst serving as the Platoon Sergeant with 1st Platoon, Alpha Company.

Gunnery Sergeant McGregor was promoted on Saturday 10th December, 2022 by Captain Harold Simon for outstanding performance both during and between operations each week. Gunnery Sergeant McGregor has been a steady hand at which the platoon now relies upon.
